Save a snapshot for an editable JSON example. Stage groups and matches determine the terrain. Update names, sides, counts and results with the same IDs to keep every shelf in place. Changed stage groups, round structure or roster capacity rebuild the landscape.

Use terrainStudy.setTournament(snapshot) to push a complete snapshot from your integration. New confirmed results automatically animate. Use setTournament(snapshot, {animate:false}) to load history without replay. Team roster entries contain an id and name. SG results record winnerId, loserId, score (winner first), and optional stolenPlayer with before/after rosters. Losers-bracket matches use stolenPlayers (an array) and the same before/after roster fields; semifinals recruit one player and the final recruits two. loserIds records elimination order; losers-bracket sides use outcomeIndex (0 or 1). Save the demo snapshot after a result for a complete example. No tournament results are inferred from the terrain. SG means Stage Group. Each SG has three low, staggered ledges carved into one compact stone shelf. expectedTeams (1–3) sets how many positions need teams; other positions remain unused. Incomplete demo groups require a planner decision.

Click an SG (Stage Group) to explore its three low ledges. Each losers-bracket terrace holds exactly two opponents for one match; later rounds show advancing teams, not additional entrants. Byes need no extra terrace. Routes follow the mountain surface.

About this study

The original ridge, domain-warped noise and hydraulic erosion formula now covers a continuous three-stage heightfield. Geometry keeps its detail; the upper mountain gradually uses simpler, illustrated shading.

The built-in demo previews a bracket with provisional incomplete stage groups. Load a planner snapshot to supply exact rounds, match sources and results. Player recruitment, rebuilding, elimination and progression are driven by snapshot updates. The demo illustrates these transitions; it is not a tournament rules engine. A live Discord feed still needs to supply snapshots.
